The all new Porsche Taycan GTS launched as a luxurious electric sports car on the market. This vehicle is a combined package of luxury, performance and practicality. This electric car offers some luxurious features that few cars can match. In this post, we’ll talk about its pricing, range, features, and overall specifications.
Pricing and Range
The Porsche Taycan GTS comes with a price of around $231,995. For that investment, you get a driving range of about 354 kilometers on a single charge, and it can rocket from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds. But don’t let those numbers define your experience, this car is more than this.

Now, let’s talk about what you’re really paying for: the performance and range. Activate the boost mode, and the Taycan GTS distributes 440 kilowatts to its 20-inch wheels, delivering a staggering 850 newton-meters of torque. This means that anything in front of you is going to be left in the dust.
Interior Design and Comfort
If you look into the car, the Taycan GTS impresses with its sleek design and clean looks. It screams class, but it’s also a four door car that offers surprising practicality. The interior is spacious and packed with creature comforts like heated and adjustable seats, a speaker and sound system, multiple USB ports, and wireless phone charging. You even have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with touchscreen displays that provide haptic feedback. There’s enough leather to make even a Village People fan proud.
Let’s not forget about storage, it gives a spacious 366 liter boot space. This car is not just a luxury sports vehicle, it can also function as a family car and provide a good and comfortable ride.
Gadgets and Technology
One of the standout features is the heads up display that shows all the vital information, from navigation to climate control. Unlike its Audi counterpart, the Taycan does not have flappy paddles for regenerative braking, which means you’ll have to navigate through menus to adjust the car settings. Not ideal when you’re driving a quarter-million-dollar sports car!
As I set the cruise control and activated the lane-keeping assist, I felt the car take over the driving. It’s a good experience, watching the car navigate the lanes effortlessly. But a warning pops up when I let go of the steering wheel for even a moment, safety features are in place for a reason.
Driving Experience
On the road, the Porsche Taycan GTS doesn’t disappoint. The Taycan GTS has a two-speed gearbox, which is somewhat rare for electric vehicles. This gearbox allows for a seamless transition, giving you that satisfying gear change sound when you push the pedal to the floor. It feels raw and visceral, unlike anything else I’ve experienced. Despite its weight is about 2.3 tons due to its 93-kilowatt-hour battery, its low center of gravity makes it feel smaller on the road.

However, driving around Auckland was far from ideal. I test this vehicle on the open roads of New Zealand, eager to experience what this machine could really do. With all the high-tech features, including lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control, this car handles itself remarkably well, allowing me to focus on the driving experience.
Efficiency and Charging
Charging from 10% to 80% takes about 20 minutes, giving you around 300 kilometers of range in that time. If you’re using a home charger, expect a longer wait up to a couple of days for full charge, but if you’re on a regular outlet its takes about six to eight hours on a 7 or 11 kilowatt charger.
After a few exhilarating hours of driving, I found myself needing to recharge. The official range of 354 kilometers can be extended to over 400 kilometers with careful driving and eco-mode settings. But how fast does it recharge? I found a hyper-rapid charger capable of delivering 300 kilowatts. Plugging it in, I was excited to see how quickly I could get back on the road.
Conclusion
Overall, the Porsche Taycan GTS is a great electric sports car that combines luxury, performance, and practicality. Sure, there are minor complaints, like the firm seats and limited headroom in the back. But these are small considerations for what you’re getting. After driving it for a couple of days, I can confidently say that this is my number one car to beat right now. If I had a million dollars, I might just buy four of these.
